It is our goal to create an online community for our guests and friends to fulfill your quilting needs. Create an account to access the online chat, forums, or online shopping. We will be adding articles which will contain how-to videos. A calendar has been setup off the main menu for easy access to see when and where we will be teaching classes or installing longarm machines or IQs. The events link on the main menu will allow you to register for classes and show available seating.

IQ BASIC BOOTCAMP SCHEDULE (in-studio-bootcamps) Jim will provide lunch for us in the studio. The kitchen is open with drinks and snacks throughout the day. Don't forget your tablet, ac adapter, stylus, and the easel for your tablet. Day 1 9 am - 5 pm Edge to Edge Quilting -- making $$$ with your IQ. When and why to use clipping lines, pause marker, realign and restart. Review IQ-101 including scale, rotate, split, combine, and line pattern as well as hardware. Day 2 9 am - 5 pm Semi-custom quilting with your IQ Setting pantos inside borders Use your IQ to work out the math for borders Pathing for borders; line pattern for borders; pantos for borders Day 3 9 am - 3 pm More pathing and line pattern ideas Fan Pattern Echo inside and outside designs Trace a block; record a pattern Create a block from a pattern and why would I want to Create a pattern from a block and why would I want to Smooth Split, stretch, and combine New Features from latest update Bootcamp is full of my tips, tricks, and samples each and every day. Shirley is a dealer for IntelliQuilter, Art and Stitch, and Nolting longarm quilting machines. She has been longarm quilting since 2002 and entered the computerized quilting arena with the IntelliQuilter in 2006. Shirley comes to the quilting industry from the business world, and has taught many classes in piecing, appliqué and longarm quilting, as well as IntelliQuilter. She introduced IQ BOOTCAMP (intensive multi-day workshops) in 2010 at her studio in West Virginia.

Are you looking for easy ways of creating beautiful designs, adding a background fill to a block design? Do you want to master the no-sew zone and clipping block functions? This class was designed with you in mind. Shirley will address all of this and much more in Exploring and Creating with IQ. Bring your questions for Q and A time at the end of class. And Sunbonnet Sue and McTavishing Too $200 Skill Level – Confident Beginner and Intermediate All Day Class Would you like to learn how to create your own Sunbonnet Sue quilt using IQ to design and layout the quilt? How about Overall Sam or Thomas the Train? You and your IQ can create a quilt design of your choice using these concepts and techniques. Learn how to transfer the quilt designs to fabric as we discuss realigning, line pattern, converting blocks to patterns, etc. Know the pitfalls before you begin this special wholecloth quilt design. The designs are free, and should be downloaded before you come to class. And Quilt Maps and Borders $200 Skill Level – Beginner and Intermediate All Day Class Would you like to learn how to create a quilt map and the many ways to set up and stitch borders? Discover how to use a quilt map to eliminate math calculations for border designs. No more fussing with the “L” shaped corner design placements. Learn how to use a quilt map for customer presentations, sewing the quilt, and customer approval if you accept mail-in orders. Plan to have a full day of fun and creativity with blocks, sashings, and borders.
